Counselling

Person Centred Counselling for young people and adults.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change” -Carl Rogers.

Person-centred counselling is a compassionate, non-directive approach that places you at the centre of the therapeutic relationship. It is grounded in the belief that, when offered the right conditions, each person has a natural capacity to grow, gain deeper self-understanding, and move towards positive change in a way that feels authentic to them.

In our work together, you are offered a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space, where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. You are met with empathy, acceptance, and respect, allowing you to feel truly heard and understood.

Person-centred counselling is helpful for a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Person-centred counselling is not limited to specific issues; rather, it offers support for any concern that feels important to you. By nurturing trust, openness, and self-acceptance, this approach supports you in reconnecting with yourself, strengthening emotional resilience, and making meaningful changes that align with who you truly are.

My practice is informed by the ethical framework and professional guidelines of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), with a strong commitment to trust, respect, client autonomy, and your emotional wellbeing.

My Background

I am a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor, and my work is guided by a trauma-informed approach, recognising that many people carry experiences that have shaped how they feel, think, and relate to the world. I understand that healing happens best when you feel safe, respected, and in control of your own process.

This approach places great importance on empathy, trust, and acceptance. I offer a calm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, without pressure or expectation.
I have experience supporting individuals who feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. I work gently and collaboratively, always led by your needs, boundaries, and readiness.
I am committed to ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and creating a therapeutic environment that honours your experiences and strengths. My intention is to support you in feeling heard, grounded, and empowered as you move towards greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding.

I aim to help you focus on healing from within, to put yourself at the centre and reconnect with your own inner guidance.

Here, it is not about fixing you – it is about supporting your journey to live more authentically, with compassion for yourself and your experiences.
